THE SENQU, (Sen’coo), one of the world’s mighty rivers, rises in the mysterious Maluti Moutains and flows across an entire subcontinent. Near its source, at breathless elevations, the river slides through sparkling riffles and shadowed pools. Few have seen it. A remote and secret spot – a place of dreams. A BRIEF HISTORY
In the early eighties , the Holden brothers with the help of skilled Basutho woman began tying fly fishing flies in the Maluti mountains in South Africa, for export into the USA.
Borrowing the name from one of the tributaries of the mighty orange river - the Senqu river- they named their flies... Senqu flies.Being keen fly fisherman, the brothers understood that there was a need for rugged , practical clothing for fly fisherman and other outdoor enthusiasts. Senqu riverwear was born.
